Syrox developed an interactive animated 'wizard' character for Pitman Training for use in computer based training courses and presentations. Using friendly cartoon imagery and a range of imaginative actions, the wizard provides an accessible way to guide users, present information or communicate training materials.

The wizard can respond to input from the user, including mouse clicks, and can interoperate with other applications, to provide help, assist in searches, and demonstrate product features.

Using character modelling and rendering, the 3D artists at Syrox have created over 150 actions and gestures that the wizard can perform, and more can be easily added for specific requirements. A cut-down version of the character can be included on websites, with full interactivity and speech synthesis capabilities.

The wizard can be adapted to any presentation or application purpose using simple scripts. Common actions like talking or idling sequences are easily automated. The character can be synchonised to a recorded voiceover, or can use Microsoft speech technology to present textual content.
