Syrox helped Verdandi to consolidate their
project management methodology into a unique software tool to allow
large enterprises to manage and benefit from the process of change.
Verdandi, formerly known as SGi, was founded in 1986 by Les Nuttman
who recognised how important it was for large businesses to manage
the change process successfully. Since then, the company's client
base and portfolio has grown, and Verdandi now provides change
process management, consultancy and services to international businesses
across a wide range of industry sectors, including financial, health,
motoring, oil, utilities and public services.
To build on the success of the company's project management processes,
Verdandi wanted to develop a software solution to allow organisations
to make informed decisions in managing the risks and opportunities
offered by change initiatives. To help Verdandi transition their
ideas into a working system, Syrox worked closely with the company
to brainstorm, design, prototype, build and test a turnkey solution.
Change Planner is a tool to provide an enterprise-wide picture
of the change initiative process. Projects are recorded, assessed
for risk and benefits, and measured against an enterprise strategy
scorecard. Initiatives are continuously assessed and prioritised
to allow organisations to keep control over challenges to their
business operations.
The Change Planner solution uses a thin client - server model
and is easily deployed in stand alone mode or can be integrated
into a company's IT infrastructure. Using a Microsoft Windows Server
2000 and Microsoft SQL Server platform, the solution is built using
a four-tier enterprise architecture as the backbone, with an easy
to use web browser based thin client. Reporting is handled by the
integration of Crystal Reports for a compelling digital dashboard
executive summary of the enterprise's change process status.
