Launched in 1998, The Media Foundry (TMF) is a premium public relations consultancy with a difference. The company promotes its one central ethos – delivering powerful campaigns for clients with real commercial impact.
The Media Foundry specialises in providing communications services, including corporate responsibility, sustainability and social marketing, for consumer and corporate facing businesses, as well as the not-for-profit, creative industries and public sectors.
The team behind The Media Foundry wanted a
comprehensive content management lead website that would showcase their
specialist portfolio of work. They required flexible a system that they
could easily manage and keep up-to-date themselves so once launched they
would not incur any delays in adding content and updating fees.
This new website also coincided with their new brand identity and would serve as a launch pad unveiling their new creative direction to the PR industry, no easy task, in this image lead environment.
Syrox worked closely with TMF in developing their new online presence. Fulfilling their brief by creating a look and feel that complements the ‘urgency and power’ of their new logo and identity, while presenting a wealth of information to its users.
To drive this new website Syrox provided a premium end content management solution with flexible navigation and numerous blog type article sections. The site also features friendly URL’s, dynamic sitemap and customisable metadata for better search engine ranking, with TMF having full control over all aspects of the site.
To add a bit of fun we incorporated a interactive flash layer to the home page enabling users to click, drag and flick individual polaroids across the page whilst being able to click through to the relevant article. Again these polariods are controlled via the CMS, so if TMF need to update the page at any time, it can be done quickly and easily either from in the office or in fact from anywhere in the world.

In an industry with a high number of competitors largely providing very similar services, first impressions of our homepage were important to grab people’s attention. Syrox’s creative gave us stand out from the pack, and people still comment on it.
Since our site has gone live, there have inevitably been countless additions we have wanted to make as the business has grown and developed. Syrox has responded to requests very promptly and turned things around in no time whatsoever. It’s good to know we have that support when we need it.
The easy-to-use back end content management system allows us to update information quickly and with no hassle. For someone who isn’t wired that way, even I find it easy to use.
